Photos/geneologies of ancestors who served in New Zealand

I am writing a book about the British Army in New Zealand over the entire period that they served here (1840-1870). This covers every regiment and corps. See British Units that served in New Zealand. I have the details of every officer. So if anyone has any information or family photos (i.e. unpublished and not in a library) of ancestors who were an officer or other rank who served here, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks already for all the people who have contacted me with photos of 65th officers etc. You've sent me some wonderful stuff.

Equipment search

Does anyone know where we can get the following items?

• a badge for an 1855 pattern shako
• a "rose" ball tuft holder, and gorgon's head ventilator - for the officer's 1855 pattern shako.
• Officer's regimental tunic buttons
• pewter 65th regimental button
• 1861 pattern shako

Drill Books
Where can I get British Army drill books for Enfield rifle. I have "Field Exercises and Evolutions, 1862" and several others, which is fantastic, but any other manuals of the period would be great.
